But after both the Chevrolet Volt is burning on the NHTSA test laboratory last week following a test designed to create a State of which the first, General Motors has announced it will write to every Volt owners in the next few days to offer a chance to swap their vehicle GM Volt to another until a formal investigation has been concluded.
The announcement came as part of a conference call today with Mark Reuss, President of GM North America, and Mary Barra, Senior Vice President of global product development to discuss the recent NHTSA opened a formal investigation into the fire in the wreckage of volt battery.
Reuss was eager to show that GM's decision to offer temporary swap for each owner is concerned that voluntary, proactive, not because GM has received a request from the owner of such a program–"no," he confirmed.
In fact, to date, no one even Chevrolet Volt outside of NHTSA'S crash test facility that has caught fire after the crash.
