Welz said the Department has filed administrative charges of around 25 firefighters, including conduct unbecoming an officer and boodle. He was also cited for the motor vehicle offences, including driving with a suspended license, taking a vehicle without the owner's permission, and parking in a fire hydrant, said Welz.
Thanksgiving morning residents called Weehawken police said fire brigade SUV had been illegally parked in a fire hydrant for several hours near squeeze Lounge in Willow Avenue in Weehawken, Welz said.
Fire officials later told police that no one had been allowed to use SUV, which was pulled back to the headquarters of the NHRFR in Western New York, Welz said.
